When Vic Firth approached hard rocker Jen Ledger (drummer for Skillet) about making some signature sticks, she wanted something that could handle a serious beating, without being too bulky or heavy. The result is similar to a 3A or a 5B, with some flair.
These sticks are extra long at 16.5", able to reach drums and cymbals without overextending your arms. The medium taper provides you with a very nice balance in between front-heavy and back-heavy.
The taper uniquely flares back out into the bottom of the tear-drop tip, giving you crystal clear punch and articulation without destroying your heads.
These sticks are made from hickory, a wood that balances flexibility and strength very well. A lacquer surface coating gives them an extra-smooth feel.
